WAMPSVILLE, N.Y. – Madison County has announced that April Lewin of Canastota is the grand prize winner of the 2025 Madison County Photo Contest. Her picture entitled “Old barn in winter on Jones Rd. in Erieville, NY” shows the beauty of the town of Nelson and Madison County.
Lewin’s photo will be featured on the cover of the 2026 Madison County Calendar, and she received the Grand Prize of a $200 gift card for the Peterboro Table located in Morrisville. Thank you to the Peterboro Table and Madison County Tourism for providing the grand prize.

– town of Hamilton: Arthur Foley.
Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you for sharing with us what makes Madison County unique. The winning photos will be displayed in the hallway leading to the Board of Supervisors Chambers in the Madison County Office Building located in Wampsville and featured in a 2026 calendar that is now on sale.
Calendars contain 15 months and can be purchased at the County Office building in the Board of Supervisors Office for $5 or you can call and get a copy shipped to you by calling (315) 366-2201 or email pio@madisoncounty.ny.gov.
