TOWN OF FENNER, N.Y. — On Monday, June 16, 2025, shortly after 10 a.m. Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of 2449 Stables Road in the town of Fenner regarding a deceased male who was located on the side of the roadway. Upon arriving on the scene, deputies located Matthew J. Tysco, 45, Chittenango, deceased on the shoulder of the roadway.
During the ensuing police investigation, authorities determined that Tysco succumbed to self-inflicted injuries. On Wednesday, June 11, deputies had arrested Tysco and charged him with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor
Authorities closed Stables Road for several hours on Monday while police processed the scene. The road has since been reopened.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, the Chittenango Police Department, the Cazenovia Police Department, the Chittenango Fire Department, and Madison County EMS.
