The War Veterans Memorial Committee of Wampsville would like to share that the Madison County Veteran of the Year award went to Erwin Smith. Smith was nominated last year by The Leatherstocking Detachment of the Marine Corps League. Smith joined the Navy in 1960 .Smith has been involved in many local organizations and has won numerous awards.
