Danielle Smith, MD, has joined Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) as a Cardiac surgeon. Prior to joining MVHS, Dr. Smith served as a Cardiothoracic surgeon at The Iowa Clinic UnityPoint Health – Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, and at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado. She also served as the chief of Cardiac Surgery at the Portland Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Portland, Oregon, and was an assistant professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.
