On Friday, Dec. 12 at 12:47 p.m., state police responded to Route 365 in the town of Verona for a reported hit and run personal injury accident.
A preliminary investigation determined that a UPS employee had walked in the front of their delivery truck on the west shoulder of Route 365 when an unknown southbound vehicle struck them, causing non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities transported the victim to Wynn Hospital in Utica for treatment.
The suspect vehicle involved fled the scene following the collision. The incident occurred near DG Market. The vehicle is believed to be gray or metallic in color.
