ONEIDA, N.Y. — The Oneida Health Foundation invites the community to the Sip & Sizzle Charity BBQ Event for a fun afternoon of barbecue, live music, games and giving back to support vital health equipment for Oneida Health.
The event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 3-7 p.m. at Vernon Downs Casino & Hotel, 4229 Stuhlman Road, Vernon.
Individual attendees and couples can purchase tickets online at OHSipandSizzle.org. A ticket includes access to the rooftop deck, a BBQ-themed dinner, live entertainment from Gridley Paige and BBQ-inspired raffle items like a Blackstone grill and Adirondack chairs. There will also be a cash bar, a photo booth, entertaining contests and lawn games.
Proceeds from Sip & Sizzle will directly support essential medical equipment and software at Oneida Health. Funds raised will help procure hospital beds, operating room equipment, endoscopy software, and fetal monitoring systems, among other critical needs. This investment in local health services strengthens patient care and improves outcomes for families throughout the community.
The Sip & Sizzle Charity BBQ goes beyond a great meal. Attendees will enjoy a welcoming atmosphere featuring music by Gridley Paige, a high-energy classic rock act that promises something for everyone and is perfect for a laid-back afternoon with friends and family.
The celebration also includes lawn games, refreshing mocktails by Mindful Mixer Mocktails, and entertaining contests such as the BBQ Apron Contest, Crazy Shirt Contest and Crazy Hat Contest.
Hosted by Liz, widely known to listeners of KISS FM and Bug Country as the host of “Listen It’s Liz,” the event aims to transform an afternoon out into a meaningful community experience.
There are still sponsorship opportunities available to support the cause while ensuring entertaining experiences for attendees and visibility for your company or organization.
The “Pledge a Bed Sponsorship” will allow sponsors to directly impact patient care at Oneida Health, because for every sponsorship sold a new modern hospital bed will be donated to Oneida Health.
