ONEIDA, N.Y. — Oneida City School District Superintendent Matthew Carpenter has given the following information for the upcoming school year.
“We want to provide our families with the most up-to-date information as we prepare for the 2025–2026 school year,” he said in a Facebook post. “With our middle and high school students sharing the OSMS building, we’ve been working hard to create a schedule that prioritizes safety, learning and consistency.”
School Schedules:
– High School students will be in session from 7-11:09 a.m.
– Middle School students will be in session from 11:30 a.m. – 3:48 p.m.
Transportation: Transportation letters, including bus route information, will be mailed early next week. In order to accommodate middle school transportation, elementary dismissal times will be adjusted to approximately 10 minutes earlier than last year.
The district is working to add additional parking spaces at the Middle School to support student, parent/visitor, and staff parking.
BOCES Programs: Students attending BOCES will do so on their previously established schedules.
Student Schedules and Meals: School counselors are in the process of finalizing student schedules, which will be distributed in the coming days. All students will be provided a meal during their scheduled school day.
Fall Athletics: Fall sports practices have commenced. Families are encouraged to monitor ongoing communications from coaches regarding practice and game schedules.
