According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on Friday, Aug. 1 at 9:19 a.m. patrol units were dispatched to Townline Road town of Vernon for a single vehicle personal injury motor vehicle crash.
While investigating deputies determined that Thomas Cliff, 51, of Baldwinsville was operating a box-truck eastbound on Townline Road when he suffered a suspected medical incident. Cliff’s vehicle exited the Townline Road and struck a telephone pole before coming to rest in a nearby field.
Rescue personnel transported Cliff by VineAll Ambulance to Wynn Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries to his head and hand.
Patrol deputies received assisted on scene by VineAll Ambulance, Vernon Fire Department and Rockers Automotive Rescue. Deputies issued no tickets.
