According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, deputies have arrested a Lee Center man after a domestic incident that occurred in the town of Lee.
On Tuesday, July 8, road patrol deputies responded to a domestic in progress in the town of Lee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim, who reported that she is the protected party on an order of protection against the suspect.
She also reported that there was a verbal domestic incident that escalated to physical when the suspect pushed her to the ground. His actions violated the active order of protection.
Upon completion of the investigation, deputies arrested Louis J. Higby, 48 and charged him with first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony and second-degree harassment, a violation.
Deputies transported Higby to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing.
Higby was held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
