On Monday, June 9, at 8:30 p.m. the Rome Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a report of a robbery at Burger King, 106 S. Madison Street.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a store employee who reported that an unknown suspect entered the business, brandished a knife and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported during the incident.
On Monday, June 16, officers with the Rome Police Detective Division and Street Crimes Unit took Paul B. Williamson, 41, Utica was taken into custody. They charged Williamson with first-degree robbery, a class B felony.
Williamson was processed at Rome Police Headquarters and transported to the Oneida County Jail for arraignment.
